Since 2021Sanganer, Jaipur
Woven in Tradition. Worn with Grace.
The Baisa was born in Jaipur in 2021, from a simple conviction — that fashion should carry meaning. In the lanes of Sanganer, where carved wooden blocks have kissed cotton for over five hundred years, our artisans still print by hand, one motif at a time. No two pieces are ever identical. That is not a flaw of the handmade — it is its signature.
Every thread, every print, every stitch at The Baisa is an act of preservation — keeping alive the crafts that define Rajasthan. We work in small batches, use plant-based and mineral dyes that are gentle on skin and kind to the earth, and pay our weavers and printers fairly for a skill that machines will never learn.
What we hold to
- Hand-Block Printed
- Our block prints are hand-stamped with carved wooden blocks, a craft perfected over centuries in Sanganer and Bagru.
- Natural Dyes
- Plant-based and mineral dyes, gentle on skin and kind to the earth. Colours that age beautifully.
- Small Batches
- Made in our own factory, in considered batches. For a different fit, colour or a larger quantity, send us a factory request.
- Inclusive Sizing
- Sizes from XS to 8XL across the range. Grace has no size.
From 2XS to 8XL
Our belief is that beauty has no limits. Sizes run from 2XS to 8XL across the range; each product page lists the sizes that style is graded in. Plus sizes are pattern-made separately, not scaled up by adding two inches to a medium — that is a different garment, and it fits like one.

A note from the founder
Why we sell to you directly
The Baisa started in Jaipur in 2021 with a small idea: make the kind of kurta a woman in Sanganer would be proud to have stitched, and sell it to her directly, from the unit that made it.
We print and stitch in our own unit in Sanganer. Poonam runs the floor, and a piece does not leave it until it has passed three checks. That is also why our plus sizes are pattern-made and not scaled up: the same care, cut for a different body.
You will find the same garments on Myntra, Amazon and Flipkart. Here you buy them from the people who made them, and there is a person on WhatsApp when you have a question.
