Sanganer & Bagru, Jaipur
Five hundred years, one motif at a time
In the lanes of Sanganer, carved wooden blocks have kissed cotton for over five hundred years. Our block prints are printed by hand — which is why no two pieces are ever identical. That is not a flaw of the handmade. It is its signature.
The print run
How a piece is made
Fabric
Cotton is sourced, washed and pre-shrunk before a single block touches it.
Carving
The motif is cut into a teak block by hand. One block, one colour.
Printing
Each impression is placed by hand, one motif at a time, across the length of the fabric.

Plant-based and mineral dyes, gentle on skin and kind to the earth.

In our own 30-machine unit in Sanganer, Jaipur.
