Wholesale or private label? Plan your boutique clothing order
Buying existing catalogue styles and developing a collection for your own label require different decisions. Agree the product specification and commercial terms before committing to production.

Choose catalogue wholesale or an original design
Wholesale starts with existing styles and an agreed assortment of sizes and colours. A private-label enquiry can involve a new design, your labels and packaging, and a separate sampling process. Stock availability and manufacturing capacity need confirmation for the requested order.
The Baisa manufactures through its own unit in Sanganer, Jaipur. Use the wholesale page for current published trade terms and the factory request form for a new production brief. A catalogue minimum does not automatically apply to every custom design.
Prepare a specification the factory can quote
List each garment, reference link, fabric preference, colour, measurements and quantity by size. Identify included pieces: for example, a kurta with trousers is different from a three-piece set with a dupatta. Describe printing or embroidery separately from fabric composition.
For your own label, specify label placement, packaging and any artwork you are authorised to use. Include the target budget, destination and date needed. Ask the team to identify unresolved details in the quote rather than leaving them to assumption.
Agree a sample and approval process
Discuss whether a sample or size set is needed before bulk production, how it will be charged, and which changes are included. Record the approved fit, fabric, colour reference and construction details so that both sides use the same specification.
A sample approval should state what has actually been checked. If garment measurements, trim or wash care are still undecided, settle those points before treating the sample as final.
Separate production, inspection and transport
Ask for a schedule covering fabric sourcing, sampling where agreed, manufacturing, checking and dispatch. Courier transit starts after dispatch; it is not the same as factory lead time. Share a fixed launch or event date at the enquiry stage.
Agree how quantities, measurements, workmanship concerns and any discrepancies will be handled. Confirm the applicable business-order terms separately from the retail return policy. Overseas requests also need destination-specific shipping, duties and documentation confirmation.
